JOHANNESBURG - Another cold, dark weekend ahead as Eskom implements Stage 2 blackouts from 8am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday.
It cited capacity shortage as a reason for the power cuts.
Eskom said in a statement it expects a ship carrying diesel supplies to offload on Tuesday.
The utility fears if the current burn rate persists, diesel would be depleted by Tuesday.
Eskom says introducing blackouts is a last resort.
