Eskom COO cleared of wrongdoing

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom COO Jan Oberholzer has been cleared of all wrongdoing in a payment dispute with contractor Aveng.

An investigation was launched after an employee lodged a grievance.

The Eskom board says it condemns the unfounded allegations, which brings the company into disrepute.

It says it has confidence in its COO and will continue to give him support.
