JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has reduced blackouts to Stage 1 from 5pm until 10pm on Friday.
Eskom says this is due to an increase in capacity.

The utility says more generation units are expected to return to service over the weekend.
Eskom CEO André de Ruyter has warned of continuing blackouts through winter.
