Eskom implements Stage 2 load-shedding

JOHANNESBURG – Eskom has announced that it will implement Stage 2 load-shedding on Sunday from 1pm to 10pm.

Eskom said the load-shedding is as a result of a shortage of capacity.

There is also a need to replenish and preserve emergency water and diesel resources to limit load-shedding possibility or magnitude thereof in the following week,” Eskom said.

This is the first load-shedding in two months.

The power utility said Stage 2 calls for 2,000MW to be rotationally shed nationally at a given period.
