JOHANNESBURG - Energy analyst Ted Blom says Eskom has been lying to the public about the extent of its problems.
He said it’s shocking that most of the challenges were only revealed at the Nersa hearing.
“Eskom has been lying to us as to where the source of the problem was. I’m shocked that under the new board Eskom has chosen to hide these things from us…. And share the real effect of the situation”, he said.
Eskom has been load-shedding since Sunday.

The Power utility said the rotational load-shedding due to "emergency reserves (diesel and water)" being low.
