JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has announced it intends to suspend power cuts from 8pm on Friday night.
The units that broke down and led to Stage 4 blackouts have been repaired.
Eskom CEO André de Ruyter said the power utility does not foresee blackouts in the coming week.
He said senior management will visit the power stations that broke down to find a way forward to avoid unplanned blackouts.
Meanwhile, COO Jan Oberholzer said they didn't find any evidence of sabotage.
