Eskom to resume stage 4 load-shedding

File: Eskom says it needs to manage its diesel and water resources to ensure reduced load-shedding in the week ahead.

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom downgraded load-shedding to stage 2 overnight, but the bad news is stage 4 will resume on Sunday at 8am until 11pm.

Eskom says stage four load-shedding on Saturday, led to a further decline in water reserves used to supplement generation capacity.

The power utility says it needs to manage its diesel and water resources to ensure reduced load-shedding in the week ahead.

Eskom says the blackouts are due to the loss of capacity which includes imports from Mozambique affected by tropical storm Idai.

The utility says it's unlikely that imports will be restored in the next few days.
