JOHANNESBURG - It's alleged the phones of senior State Security executives have been hacked.

One tech expert believes people should rely on strong passwords to protect devices.

SensePost Chief Technology Officer, Leon Jacobs says, "The most important thing to do is make sure the device is up to date. The stronger your password or passphrase is, the harder such an attack could be."

The alleged hack includes Minister Ayanda Dlodlo and her Deputy Zizi Kodwa.
