HARARE - Zimbabwe’s mass by-elections are rapidly approaching.

Former Harare mayor Herbert Gomba, the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change candidate for the capital’s Ward 27, has been arrested on allegations of violating the Electoral Act.

His lawyers believe he’s being harassed.

The former Harare mayor has applied for bail and a ruling is expected.
