Social distancing regulations were flouted as scores of people showed up to collect food on Saturday.

The MEC said some food parcels will be distributed to individual homes to facilitate social distancing.

Government officials worked with the representatives from the foundation to make sure there was an adequate distance between people waiting for assistance.

Lesufi said the observation of the government-issued regulations is non-negotiable.
