COVID-19 | Gauteng travel for leisure prohibited for 14 days

JOHANNESBURG - No leisure travel into or out of Gauteng will be allowed for the next two weeks.


President Cyril Ramaphosa says this is to ease the burden as COVID-19 cases surge in the country.

Meanwhile, 15,036 new COVID-19 infections have been reported in the last 24-hours.

Gauteng accounts for just over 9,800 of them.

The national institute for communicable diseases (NICD) said 122 more COVID-19 related deaths were recorded.
