JOHANNESBURG - A campaign to derail the clean-up of government.
This is how Pravin Gordhan's office describes a subpoena from the public protector.
The Public Enterprises minister received his second such subpoena on Thursday.
It relates to the SARS investigative unit.
Gordhan's been given until 23 April to respond.
In 2014, newspapers reported the existence of the so-called rogue unit operating in the shadows at SARS.
Last year, the Nugent Commission found that there was nothing unlawful about the unit's establishment.
Gordhan was commissioner of the revenue service at the time.
His lawyer Tebogo Malatji said there's no merit to the complaints.
