Government denies SAA further funds

JOHANNESBURG - Government has turned down a request from South African Airways’ business rescue practitioners for further funding of R10-billion.

Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan says government will not provide any extra funding for the business rescue.

SAA was placed under business rescue in December.

The practitioners are yet to publish their rescue plan.
