Taxi operators met with associations on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wants to deploy the army to quell taxi violence in the area.

Nqaba Bhanga says he's approached the President to approve the move.

Taxi operators are angry, saying they've not received any COVID-19 relief funding.
