DURBAN - The ANC's KwaZulu-Natal provincial executive committee has resolved to axe embattled eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede.
eNCA has confirmed this with three independent and reliable sources who attended the two-day special PEC meeting in Durban.
Gumede has reportedly been axed together with the speaker and party chief whip in the Metro.
She is facing fraud and corruption charges relating to a R208-million waste tender.
Gumede is out on R50,000 bail and is due back in court in January next year.
