DURBAN - The ANC KZN Provincial Executive Committee's meeting continues in Durban on Monday.

On the agenda is eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede's fate, as well as the state of municipalities in the province.

The embattled mayor is out on R50,000 bail and has been put on leave.

She was arrested in May in connection with a R208-million Durban Solid Waste tender.

eNCA's Siphamandla Goge caught up with provincial Spokesperson Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu.

"All our PEC meetings are crucial because they're meant to address the policy direction of this government as well as the lives of our people. One of the things we'll be discussing is the report that the PEC is going to receive from the PWC, which was engaging with all municipalities… Soon as the PEC has concluded, the official will be tasked to implement whatever decisions that are directed by the PEC," said Simelane-Zulu.
