JOHANNESBURG – The Hawks have insisted that the arrests and court appearances that took place today are not related to evidence given at the Zondo Commission.
Several people linked to Bosasa, including the company's former COO Angelo Agrizzi, were arrested on Wednesday.
Agrizzi and Andries van Tonder, and former correctional services CFO Patrick Gillingham have been charged with corruption, fraud and money-laundering.
The charges are in relation to tenders awarded to Bosasa by the Department of Correctional Services.
Also in court and set to be charged on another indictment, Bosasa's Carlos Bonafacio and Frans Vorster.
The accused were ordered to hand over their passports and granted R20,000 bail each.
