JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks say they have strong evidence against ANC Secretary General, Ace Magashule.
The elite crime-fighting unit helped secure his court appearance on Friday.
"The evidence that we have is solid and that is why today we managed to secure his appearance or rather his next appearance at the Bloemfontein High Court," said Hawks spokesperson, Katlego Mogale.
Magashule is facing 21 charges of fraud, corruption, and money laundering related to the R255-million asbestos audit project in the Free State.
He has been released on R200 000 bail by the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court.
