High Court to deliver decision on Nelson Mandela Bay mayoral dispute

PORT ELIZABETH - The Eastern Cape High Court is on Thursday expected to deliver judgment on the Nelson Mandela Bay mayoral dispute.

This follows the removal of the Democratic Alliance’s Athol Trollip last month.

Trollip was voted out in a no-confidence motion and replaced by the United Democratic Movement's Mongameli Bobani, but the DA says Trollip's removal was unlawful and invalid.

The party wants the court to nullify the decision.

Both Trollip and Bobani insist they are in charge of the metro.
