JOHANNESBURG - Former Gauteng Health MEC Brian Hlongwa, his wife and six others will spend this Christmas season at home with family.
The Johannesburg magistrate's court granted them bail on Tuesday.
The nine are facing numerous charges including fraud, corruption and racketeering after an SIU report found they received kickbacks from tenders amounting to at least R1.2-billion.
Corporate entities that were allegedly awarded the tenders are also mentioned as accused numbers 10 to 16.
