Western Cape Judge President John Hlophe will now apply for leave to appeal. Ayesha Ismail reports. #DStv403
CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Judge President John Hlophe is not accepting a court's dismissal of his bid to overturn the decision of the Judicial Service Commission Tribunal, which found him guilty of gross misconduct.
He will now apply for leave to appeal.
Hlophe is of the opinion that another court might come to a different conclusion.
In 2008, Hlophe was found guilty of attempting to influence two Constitutional Court judges in a matter involving former president Jacob Zuma.
