JOHANNESBURG - The Alex Dudula Movement called for a five-day shutdown on Monday to protest against undocumented foreigners.
On Tuesday, however, shops in the Johannesburg township were mostly operating as normal.
Foreign-owned spaza shops and informal traders were targeted and many closed for safety reasons.
