JOHANNESBURG - The minister in the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Presidency confirmed the minister tested positive after presenting with symptoms on Monday.
People who have been in contact with the minister are self-quarantining.
"He remains in high spirits and wishes all those who are also fighting the coronavirus a speedy recovery," a statement issued by the Presidency read.
Mthembu urged South Africans regularly wash their hands, wear masks and practice social distancing.
