Whistleblower Johann Van Loggerenberg burgled

The home of State Capture whistleblower and former Sars executive Johann van Loggerenberg has been burgled. Van Loggerenberg says the sophisticated manner of entry into his home is suspicious. Van Loggerenberg's lawyer, Bernard Hotz, joins us via Zoom for more. #DStv403

JOHANNESBURG - The home of State Capture whistleblower and former SARS executive, Johann Van Loggerenberg has been burgled.

The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday.

Loggerenberg says to his assessment the job seems sophisticated and could be the result of a bigger conspiracy and deliberate targetting.

Loggerenberg testified at the State Capture Commission about irregularities at the revenue service, particularly during former SARS Commissioner Tom Moyane's tenure.

That testimony now forms part of the recently released Part 1 of the Zondo report.

He's also a state witness in other cases currently under investigation by the Inspector-General of Intelligence and the Independent Directorate of the National Prosecuting Authority.
