John Block expected to hand himself over to prison officials

KIMBERLEY - Former Northern Cape ANC chairperson John Block is expected to hand himself over to correctional services within the next week.

The Constitutional Court dismissed the application for leave to appeal his conviction and 15- year sentence.

In 2015, the Kimberley High Court convicted and sentenced Block for corruption and money laundering.

The case relates to tenders awarded by Northern Cape government departments.

He was sentenced alongside businessman, Christo Scholtz.
