JOHANNESBURG - SARS boss Edward Kieswetter says employees are facing a taxing situation at the revenue service.
He's identified low worker morale as a problem.
Kieswetter says there's an atmosphere of intimidation at the revenue service.
"We do recognise that internally the organisation has been traumatised. We are a revenue collection authority and therefore the need to very quickly arrest the losses and begin to put in place plans that will give us and the committee a higer level of confidence. SARS are its people."
He's appearing before the Parliamentary Finance Committee presenting his five-year plan for SARS.
