JOHANNESBURG - Acting SARS commissioner Mark Kingon has been appointed for a further 90 days or until such time as a replacement’s announced.
His second 90-day-term in the position ended on Thursday.
Judge Robert Nugent, who is looking into the tax agency's administration, urged President Cyril Ramaphosa to axe Kingon's predecessor, Tom Moyane.
The president was also asked to urgently appoint a new commissioner.
The High Court in Pretoria on Tuesday dismissed Moyane's application to block Ramaphosa.
