ACCRA - Former United Nations secretary general Kofi Annan's body has arrived in Ghana ahead of a state funeral

Annan died in Switzerland in August at the age of 80.

His remains will be received during a brief ceremony, led by the Ghana armed forces and President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo. 

Annan will be laid to rest on Thursday.
