Kubayi-Ngubane: Local tourism likely only to start in December

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's local tourism season will likely only start in December, that’s the expectation of Tourism minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane.

Kubayi-Ngubane spoke during a webcast hosted by SA Tourism on Thursday.

Her remarks come as experts indicate the COVID-19 pandemic might peak locally in September.

It is expected to take at least two to three months for the situation to stabilise.

However, South Africa is not alone.
