The community of eZinqoleni has been without water for three weeks and have taken action, blocking roads in a desperate bid for assistance.

Community members say the municipality has blamed a failed pump for the taps drying up.

The municipality said ageing infrastructure and the growing population are to blame.

They claim to have written to the national government, seeking intervention.
