DURBAN - Families who are still waiting to find loved ones who were swept away during the floods in KwaZulu-Natal are pleading for DNA results to be fast-tracked.

The Hlophe and Ntuli families from KwaNdengezi say they are yet to find closure.

It's been months now since 13 of their family members disappeared.

They say despite DNA samples being collected as early as April, nothing more has happened.

"They took the DNA samples and we're still waiting," said Kholisiwe Hlophe.

"They said it would take six months for results to come back.

"The pain doesn't go away. I'm heartbroken."
