DURBAN - Kwazulu-Natal authorities are preparing for the worst as they warn residents to get to places of safety amid severe weather conditions.
Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Sipho Hlomuka says heavy rains, mudslides and gale force winds are forecast for the next two days.
Two tornados have already battered KZN since Tuesday.
The KZN Education Department also directed all pupils not writing year-end examinations to be sent home in the wake of the extreme weather conditions.
