JOHANNESBURG - Laboratory workers picketed in Johannesburg to raise concerns over the quality of personal protective equipment they received.

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union members say they feel that the government isn't doing much to address their grievances.

The Nehawu members are also unhappy about salary increases.

Nehawu has a membership base of over 274,000 people, making it the largest public-sector union in South Africa.
