File: The Gauteng provincial government has confirmed that all employees at the Anglo Gold Ashanti's Mponeng mine have been admitted to an isolation facility.

JOHANNESBURG - At least 75 workers at Anglo Gold Ashanti's Mponeng Mine in Gauteng have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Gauteng provincial government has confirmed that all employees have been admitted to an isolation facility.

A team has been sent to trace all known contacts.

The management of the mine says all underground miners have been tested and 104 results are still outstanding.

Underground production will remain closed until further notice.
