JOHANNESBURG - Legal Aid SA lawyers have embarked on a strike over labour grievances.
The lawyers are fighting against a lack of security, employee benefits and budget cuts.
The company provides legal aid to thousands of South Africans who would normally not be able to afford legal services.
Legal Aid SA employee representative Michael Motaung said the conversation between management and the workers has been ongoing since March.
Motaung said one of the key issues facing workers is there is no security, putting employees at risk.
