JOHANNESBURG - The second attempt to elect a Johannesburg mayor will be discussed on Wednesday.
Last week's vote was delayed when Speaker Vasco da Gama stated that legal opinion was needed on the election process.
Da Gama said councillors were confused about what constitutes a majority in the election of a new mayor, and also what happens when there's a three-way contest.
A simple majority win has been advised by a private law firm.
The council meeting is expected to hopefully end Johannesburg's political paralysis.
