JOHANNESBURG - Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane will unpack the latest interventions put in place by DA governments in the Western Cape to fight crime.

The South African National Defence Force has been deployed to Cape Town to assist the South African Police Service with crime-fighting in hotpots.

A spate of murders in gang-ridden areas spurred authorities to send in the army.

Over the weekend one police officer was killed and two other officers were left wounded during a shooting in Delft, Cape Town.

Maimane will be joined by DA Western Cape Leader Bonginkosi Madikizela and DA Western Cape Deputy Leader Albert Fritz.
