JOHANNESBURG - The PIC inquiry continues on Monday, after being granted an extension by president Cyril Ramaphosa.
The commission now has three more months to conclude its work, with complex transactions getting the attention of forensics experts.
In his interim report, inquiry chairperson Judge Lex Mpati had appealed to Ramaphosa for an extension.
The commission's terms of reference have also been changed.
“The addition came as a result of allegations made before the commission that in certain instances the PIC might not have acted in accordance with clients’ mandate,” the commission said.
Last week, emotional testimony exposed how deep the rot ran at the Public Investment Corporation.
