PARLIAMENT - A joint meeting of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts and Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises heard an update from SAA on outstanding matters.

SAA was slammed for its failure to to submit legal opinion and other documents.

In September, Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan wrote to Parliament to apologise for not meeting the deadline.

The airliner has been facing some turbulance with it announcing it planned to cut some domestic and international routes.

SAA has been placed under business rescue.
