JOHANNESBURG - Tourism Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane will clarify what alert level three of the lockdown holds for the industry.

Kubayi-Ngubane is expected to outline the operational and additional measures in response to COVID-19 in the tourism sector.

The industry has been hard hit with holiday and leisure facilities being shut down during the lockdown.

This has resulted in millions of rands being lost in revenue.

Meanwhile, domestic travel will be allowed again under level three lockdown.

This, however, excludes travelling for leisure, tourism or recreational purposes.

Travellers will be required to provide paperwork to confirm the reasons for travel.
