JOHANNESBURG - Twenty-nine South African musicians who were stranded in Turkey are finally home.
They were meant to return when flights were grounded due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The group arrived on a Turkish Airways flight on Friday night.
Government coordinated their repatriation and placed the group in mandatory quarantine.
"As government, we are honoured to have played a role in showing care to our own," Dirco said in a statement.
"We are happy that our young practitioners will be back on home soil and soon reunited with their families.”
