JOHANNESBURG - A couple has been arrested in Gauteng for violating lockdown regulations.

During a routine roadblock on the N12, police asked the man to open his boot.

There they discovered his girlfriend who he was attempting to smuggle out of the province, to Mpumalanga.

He was travelling without a permit and she was arrested for consenting to be smuggled.
