Mabuyane tests positive for COVID-19

JOHANNESBURG - Eastern Cape Premier, Oscar Mabuyane, has tested positive for COVID-19.

Mabuyane had flu-like symptoms when he tested.

He is now urging people who have been in contact with him over the past week, and have flu-symptoms, to get tested.

The premier is continuing his duties from home.

Last night, President Cyril Ramaphosa expressed concern at the apparent resurgence of COVID-19 in the Eastern Cape.

Ramaphosa is warning South Africans to remain vigilant to avoid a second-wave of infections.
