Magashule admits meeting Zuma, denies plot to oust Ramaphosa

JOHANNESBURG - ANC secretary-general, Ace Magashule has admitted that he met former President Jacob Zuma at a Durban hotel last Thursday.

The Sunday Times reported that Magashule and other ANC leaders held a clandestine meeting with Zuma.

The paper alleges that the meeting was to discuss a plot to oust President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Magashule denies this, but admits there are some within the party who want to challenge the Nasrec  conference results.

The ANC secretary general also admitted that former North West premier Supra Mahumapelo had a meeting with Zuma in the same venue.

The ruling party has since distanced itself from the allegations.
