JOHANNESBURG - ANC secretary-genearal, Ace Magashule, has dismissed media reports that former president Thabo Mbeki is stalling President Cyril Ramaphosa's plan for an elders council.

The Sunday Times reports that Mbeki is stalling - allegedly because former Jacob Zuma will also be involved.

Magashule says the ANC has taken a decision that Mbeki, Zuma and Kgalema Motlanthe should form part of the advisory panel.

He was speaking on eNCA's The PolitBureau on Sunday.
