JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Premier David Makhura is expected to meet with disgruntled Alexandra residents on Tuesday.
Residents have been protesting about poor service delivery for almost a week.
They say they won't stop until they are addressed by Makhura or President Cyril Ramaphosa.
They initially asked for Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba but he hasn't pitched.
On Monday, Mashaba was in Vlakfontein, just an hour's drive from Alexandra, dealing with other communities unhappiness.
He says he's trying to pick up the pieces that provincial and national government have left behind.
"I need the province and national (government) to be with me to explain to the people of Alexandra what happened to their money,” Mashaba said.
