Malema, Steenhuisen kicked out of Parliament

CAPE TOWN - EFF leader Julius Malema and DA Chief Whip John Steenhuisen have been ordered out of the National Assembly.

This after they refused to withdraw insults hurled at each other on Tuesday.

National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete has condemned the behaviour of MPs who behave badly and get into brawls during proceedings.

Agang's Andries Tlouamma and the EFF MP Nazier Paulsen also got into a fist fight after a quarrel.

Tlouamma had raised a point of order, in response to something the EFF had said.

An altercation between Agang and EFF MP's escalated to an exchange of blows in Parliament on Tuesday.

The red berets' Godrich Gardee and Hlengiwe Mkhaliphi were embroiled in a finger-wagging contest with DA MP Ken Robertson.

All members who misbehaved have been referred to Parliament's disciplinary committee.

The EFF was involved in an altercation in Parliament with DA members that saw name-calling and insults being thrown.

Steenhuisen says the EFF is two-faced and insulting.

Meanwhile, EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said Steenhuisen does not listen.
