File: Gqom musicians Mampintsha and Babes Wodumo have stopped the airing of their reality show.
JOHANNESBURG - Mampintsha and Babes Wodumo's assault case has reportedly been referred to Families South Africa (Famsa) for mediation.
According to reports, the charge of assault against the Gqom star may be dropped if the matter is resolved at Famsa.
The Pinetown Magistrate's Court postponed the matter to 11 June.
Babes Wodumo, whose real name is Bongekile Simelane, went live on Instagram in March, allegedly showing herself in a heated argument with her boyfriend Mandla "Mampintsha" Maphumulo.
In the video, Maphumulo is seen slapping Simelane, more than once.
Maphumulo was arrested after Simelane laid a charge of assault against him. He was later released on bail and then laid a counter-charge against her.
He has since apologised to Simelane and her family.
