Mantashe says won't stop anyone who wants to resign from Necsa

JOHANNESBURG - Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe says that he won't stop anyone who wants to resign.

He was speaking on the resignations of the entire board of the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa (Necsa).

The board complains that it has not received any support from the minister.

For his part, Mantashe says that good governance is needed in all sectors and that they plan on reviving that.

“I've not received any resignations, There was already no board, there were only three people left on the board. We have identified names to replenish that board. If they want to leave I won't stop them.”

Mantashe adds that there can be no financial support without good governance.
