The latest data from the Central Energy Fund suggests a petrol price cut of up to R1.74 cents per litre.

Diesel is expected to drop by R1.51 cents per litre when prices are adjusted on Wednesday next week.

Petrol fell by almost R2 in April despite a 25 cents per litre increase in fuel taxes.

Next week's massive cuts are due to continued pressure on international oil prices which far outweighs pressure on the rand versus the dollar.
